Get active, fit, and sculpted through class offerings beginning in January

West Shore Health Connection offers a wide range of group fitness classes designed to keep the body fit through the cold, dark days of winter.

Exercise specialists will lead 14 classes formulated to meet the fitness needs of a wide range of ages and abilities. The fully equipped facility includes an aerobic circuit, weight room, stretching area, and locker rooms with showers. A variety of membership and payment options are available.

The following classes, free with Health Connection membership, will be offered this winter:

ABSolutely: A great solution for improving overall strength with an emphasis on abs.

Abs and Arms: 30 minutes dedicated to toning abs, arms, and the upper body.

Ball Blitz: Have a ball while increasing strength and endurance using BOSU, stability ball, and medicine balls.

Body Fit: A full body workout in just 45 minutes, designed to increase strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Cardio Mix: High intensity aerobics workout with strength and endurance training.

Core Training: 30 minutes to stronger abs and a stronger back.

Flexibility: A 45-minute session of full body stretching.

Gut and Glute: A 30-minute workout dedicated to toning abs and lower body.

Mary’s Mega Mix: Improve cardiovascular endurance and strength with this total body, anything goes, conditioning class.

Pure Step: Improve cardiovascular fitness with choreographed step aerobics.

Slowrobics: Slow movements and seated exercises to improve strength, endurance, and balance.

Step and Sculpt: Participants are invited to spice up their routine with intervals of step aerobics and strength training.

Yoga: Improve strength, flexibility, and re-energize the mind.

Zumba: Increase cardiovascular endurance with Latin and international inspired rhythms.

West Shore Health Connection also offers Aqua Aerobics and Aquacise classes at the Paine Aquatic Center at Manistee High School starting Jan. 4 through Feb. 11. Cost is $60 for each class.
