Don’t miss the West Shore Medical Center Auxiliary’s annual Sleighbell Craft Show, Bake Sale and Bazaar, a popular staple of Manistee’s Old Christmas Weekend. This year’s event will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, December 8 at Manistee High School, 525 12th Street. Admission is free. This show is one of the largest and best attended events of its kind in northwestern Michigan and features over 150 artists, crafters and vendors from around the region, as well as a bake sale, raffle and musical entertainment.
While there is no charge for admission to the show, raffle tickets will be sold to raise funds support the Auxiliary’s pledge to fund an ambulance for our community. Raffle tickets for a chance to win a number of fantastic prizes will be available at the show and may be purchased in advance from any Auxiliary member or from the Bits of Cheer Gift Shop at West Shore Medical Center.
Tucker Laws, winner of this summer’s “Manistee's Got Talent” competition Music will perform from 9 a.m. to noon, while the John Pomeroy/Tom Biggs Duo will provide entertainment from 1 to 4 p.m. Lunch will be available for purchase throughout the day.
At the craft show, the Manistee Lions will be offering free pediatric vision screenings and organ donation registration.
With a team of 120 members, the West Shore Medical Center Auxiliary has been serving the hospital for over 60 years. Auxiliary members volunteer throughout the hospital, operate the Bits of Cheer Gift Shop in the hospital lobby and are active in fundraising efforts. The Sleighbell Craft Show is their largest fundraiser of the year.
