A partner in West Shore's commitment to local health care is the Board of Trustees. Organized under Public Act 231 of the State of Michigan, West Shore Medical Center is a non-profit, municipal health facilities corporation. The Manistee County Board of Commissioners appoints nine Trustees for three-year terms. Chosen from area citizens, trustees work to ensure the financial viability and operational stability of the medical center.
