A Stronger Hospital Means a Stronger Community
"As a lifetime member of this community, I have watched our local medical services grow to meet the highest care standards. The professionals at West Shore will claim they just do their jobs, but it’s time to recognize how different our lives would be if they only ‘did their jobs’ and didn’t deliver care with confidence and dedication."

These words were written in a thank-you letter from Nita Guenthardt after medical services saved the life of a close friend, as well as her husband, Tom. Notes of appreciation are not uncommon at West Shore, but what stands out about Nita’s message is recognition of the hospital’s growth and improvements.

West Shore continues to make great strides in its facilities and technology. All of us can be very proud of the hospital and health services we have here in Manistee. In recent years West Shore has made significant upgrades to its facilities and has invested in new technology so people who live in our area can benefit from the latest services, without leaving our community.

It has taken careful financial management for West Shore to grow and change with the community’s needs. Manistee’s residents and visitors have been able to count on more, rather than less, when it comes to health care services.
