Critical Care Unit

West Shore Medical Center's Critical Care Unit (CCU) delivers compassionate care for those patients with the most serious medical and surgical conditions. The newly remodeled unit contains six rooms that are larger and more comfortably furnished for patients as well as visitors. Services include non-interventional cardiac care and monitoring and ventilatory support.

The CCU is closely monitored by a team of specialty trained staff. These professionals work together to provide care to suit the needs of each individual patient and their families. Our team includes physicians, registered nurses, dieticians, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and respiratory therapists.

We understand the importance of family support in this unit, and visiting hours are flexible depending on patients' conditions and needs.
