Located in Manistee on the edge of Lake Michigan in beautiful northern Michigan, West Shore Medical Center is an expanding medical facility with a highly skilled staff of dedicated professionals.

A close-knit community known as the Victorian Port City, Manistee is vibrant and growing. A brand new $22 million high school opened in February 2003 and a nearby community college is continuing to expand. Colleges offering both four-year and graduate programs from several state universities are nearby.

The Manistee area has a growing arts community with galleries and a variety of cultural events throughout the year. The downtown area also offers the Ramsdell Theater, one of three historical opera houses in Michigan, which is home to the Manistee Civic Players, and Manistee Art Institute.

For those seeking serenity, a downtown stroll along Manistee's award winning Riverwalk provides an opportunity to browse the unique shops and enjoy dinner at one of the pubs. Concerts at the gazebo overlooking the river are a favorite summertime tradition.

Manistee offers a diverse selection when it comes to living in the area. Within 20 minutes of Manistee, there is the option of living on a lake, in the city, in the forest, in a small township, or even on a farm.
