Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers add a special touch to the quality of care we provide at West Shore. A comforting smile or soothing voice are a few of the little things that can ease a patient through their recovery.
As a volunteer you can not only make a difference in someone else's life, but your own life as well. There are opportunities to help out in a number of areas, allowing the staff to concentrate on what is most important, direct patient care.
We always welcome volunteers to the West Shore Medical Center community! Read more about:
- Patient Transport/Surgical Waiting Room Greeter. Provide patient transportation and other assistance to the nursing team. Flexible weekday shifts.

West Shore Medical Center Auxiliary
With a team of 115 members, the WSMC Auxiliary has been serving the hospital for over 50 years. Auxiliary members volunteer throughout the hospital and are active in fundraising efforts. Their largest fundraiser is Sleigh Bell Arts and Crafts Show held every December. Auxiliary members also operate the Bits of Cheer Gift Shop located in the hospital lobby.
In addition, the Auxiliary maintains the Lifeline program, a personal emergency response system. Members install these systems and coordinate their ongoing use for more than 150 users in Manistee County. For more information about Lifeline, contact Geri Kody at (231)889-4957.
For more information about becoming an Auxiliary member, please contact President Kathy Berish at (231) 723-4832.
