Community Health Programs
West Shore provides a number of programs, screenings, and other resources to increase awareness about medical conditions and to encourage healthy lifestyles.
Regularly scheduled childbirth and breast feeding education classes are available for those welcoming a new baby. Diabetics and their families can learn self-management techniques through outpatient courses offered monthly. CPR and first-aid courses are scheduled periodically or can be arranged for groups.
West Shore also provides free community presentations on such topics as heart disease, women's health issues, cancer, arthritis, and medication safety. Speakers are also available to share their expertise with community organizations, schools, and worksites.
